Welcome to BCACD.org

Burke Council on Alcoholism & Chemical DependencyThe Burke Council on Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency, Inc. was organized in 1966 to assist in the alleviation of human suffering borne by those afflicted with alcoholism and chemical dependency and the suffering of family and friends.

The council is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of volunteers concerned about Burke County. We are a private, non-profit organization. The Council believes addiction to alcohol and or other substances is a chronic disease. We focus our efforts on education, prevention, treatment and recovery support services.

BCACD promotes public understanding and awareness that the alcoholic or chemically addicted person can be helped. We are committed to the alleviation of the suffering and to the improvement of the lives of all persons affected by substance abuse and/or dependency.
