The Council is committed to the alleviation of the suffering and to the improvement of the lives of those directly and indirectly affected by alcoholism and chemical dependency.

BCACD promotes public understanding and awareness that the alcoholic and chemically dependent person can be helped.

BCACD strives to educate the Burke County community concerning the diseases of alcoholism/chemical dependency, their nature and treatment.

BCACD continues to promote adequate facilities and services for the diagnoses and treatment of persons suffering from alcoholism and chemical dependency.
